In October, the suspect used credit cards belonging to the woman, aged in her 80s, to fraudulently withdraw 1.5 million yen from a convenience store ATM in Toshima Ward.
In obtaining the credit cards from the victim, the suspect posed as an employee of Isetan and told the victim over the phone that her “cards were being used [by someone else], and it is necessary for you to suspend them.” He then arrived at her residence to collect seven cards.
