SAITAMA (TR) – Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a robbery and assault case in which two men broke into a pawnshop in Kumagaya City last month, reports TBS News (June 14).
On May 16, two men broke the front window of the pawnshop, smashed a display case with a crowbar and stole 360,000 yen worth of gift certificates and other items
They also punched and injured the male store manager, 63, when they ran into him.
On the day of the incident, police arrested 69-year-old Keiji Wakayama. However, Michisada Nakajima fled the scene. He was later placed on a wanted list.

On Friday, police apprehended Nakajima as he walked alone on a street in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Upon his arrest, Nakajima admitted to the allegations. “There is no doubt that we broke into a store and injured someone,” he said.
