HOKKAIDO (TR) – Hokkaido Prefectural Police have arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly damaging the inside of a taxi after the driver asked him to leave for being naked, reports Fuji News Network (July 27).
At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the man, a part-time worker, entered the vehicle near Odori Park in Sapporo‘s Chuo Ward while not wearing any clothing. After noticing that his passenger was naked, the driver stopped the cab and asked him to exit.
“Aren’t you dirty?” the driver asked his passenger, according to TV Asahi (July 28). “I am not dirty. Look at me,” the man responded.
In dash cam footage provided by the network, the man is then seen beating and breaking the plastic barrier that separates the driver from the back seat.
According to police, the suspect had just visited an outdoor beer event and was heavily intoxicated. The man, who faces charges of destruction of property, told police that he does not recall anything about the incident.
