AICHI (TR) – Aichi Prefectural Police said on Wednesday that a man inside the room of a hotel in Nagoya over the weekend was the victim of a “honey trap,” reports Fuji News Network (June 10).
According to police, A 19-year-old woman is suspected of conspiring with Reion Kato, 20, to kill Hisamichi Kurita, a 32-year-old office worker from Kasugai City, inside a room of Hagu Hagu Sakae-II in Naka Ward on June 7. The suspects also allegedly stole the victim’s belongings.
Later on June 7, police responding to a distress call arrived at the room in the hotel and found Kurita collapsed on the bed. Police previously said that he was shirtless and lying face-down. There were bloodstains on the sheets that appeared to be from a nosebleed.

According to police, the woman is believed to have lured Kurita to the hotel room after he drank with a colleague at a restaurant in Nagoya on the night of June 6. Security camera footage and other sources suggest that Kato also entered the same room shortly thereafter.
In addition, police arrested Yuya Hatano, 23, on suspicion of blackmail. Hatano is believed to have instructed Kato and the woman to carry out the honey trap.
Police previously said that the results of an autopsy revealed the cause of death to be asphyxiation due to strangulation.
