AICHI (TR) – Following the death of a man inside the room of a hotel in Nagoya over the weekend, police have arrested male suspect on suspicion of robbery and murder. Police also said that the victim entered the room with a woman before the discovery of his body, reports NHK (June 10).
On Monday, police announced the arrest of the 20-year-old suspect. He is suspected of killing Hisamichi Kurita, a 32-year-old office worker from Kasugai City, inside a room of Hagu Hagu Sakae-II in Naka Ward and stealing his belongings.
On June 7, police responding to a distress call arrived at the room in the hotel and found Kurita collapsed on the bed. Police previously said that he was shirtless and lying face-down. There were bloodstains on the sheets that appeared to be from a nosebleed.

According to police, Kurita is believed to have entered the hotel room with a woman after drinking with a colleague at a restaurant in Nagoya on the night of June 6. Security camera footage and other sources suggest that the suspect also entered the same room shortly thereafter.
Police previously said that the results of an autopsy revealed the cause of death to be asphyxiation due to strangulation.
