TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on February 14 busted a massage parlor for offering sexual services administered by the feet of female attendants, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Feb. 29).
Officers took managers Masashi Ono, 66, and Seiji Aramaki, 46, and one other employee affiliated with Ashizeme Club, located in the Ueno district of Taito Ward, into custody for violating the Law Regulating Adult Entertainment Businesses.
“I thought it would be profitable as I have such a fetish,” Ono is quoted by police in admitting to the allegations.
According to police sources, the club offers private rooms and is staffed by 20 women, whose treatments start at 8,000 yen for 30 minutes. Operations began in an apartment building south of JR Ueno Station in 2002. Since that time sales have totaled 550 million yen.
The arrests followed revelations that a female masseuse, 25, massaged the lower-half of a 28-year-old company employee’s body with her foot.
The Sankei Shimbun believes the bust is the first of its kind in Japan.
In 2010, officers entered the apartment building housing the club and made 17 arrests from various other establishments operating in violation of the same law. At the time, Ashizeme Club was not cited.
