TOKYO (TR) – For law enforcement in Tokyo, the games have already begun.

On Friday, Tokyo Metropolitan Police raided a massage parlor in the Yotsuya area of Shinjuku Ward for licensing violations, reports Fuji News Network (Mar. 14).

Police arrested three female employees at Lavender, aged between 37 and 45, for providing customers with sex services in private rooms in violation of the adult-entertainment law regarding location of business operations.

Both suspects admit to the allegations. “Since (enforcement of the law in) Kabukicho is strict, we set up in Yotsuya,” the suspect is quoted by police in referring to the infamous red-light district also located in Shinjuku.

Prices at Lavender start at 4,000 yen for the first 30 minutes.

According to police, the bust is part of a crackdown taking place on illegal sex businesses in entertainment districts in preparation for Tokyo’s hosting of the Olympic Games in 2020.
