SAITAMA (TR) – Saitama Prefectural Police have arrested a radiologist working at a municipal hospital in Koshigaya City for secretly photographing a woman’s body while she was undergoing an X-ray examination, reports NHK (Mar. 1).
On February 27, Masamichi Hidaka, a 30-year-old clinical radiologist at Koshigaya Municipal Hospital, allegedly took tosatsu voyeur footage of the body of a woman in her 20s with his smartphone while she was undergoing an X-ray examination.
During questioning on suspicion of violating the prefecture’s nuisance ordinance, Hidaka admitted to the charges. “She was the type of woman I like, so I wanted to keep a record of [her],” he said.

Prior to the alleged crime, Hidaka placed his smartphone in his breast pocket with the camera facing the woman.
As the examination was conducted, the woman suspected something was wrong. She later reported the matter to the hospital, saying that she might have been photographed.
Police are currently checking the suspect’s smartphone to see whether the has committed any other crimes.
Koshigaya City, which runs the hospital, issued a statement in the name of its mayor. “We deeply regret the arrest of the staff member and take it very seriously,” the statement read. “We will verify the facts and deal with the matter rigorously.”
