Man’s corpse with both legs bound found at Osaka port

OSAKA (TR) – The body of a man with his legs bound with tape was found at a port in Kaizuka City on Saturday. Police are investigating the possibility that the case may be the result of foul play, reports Mainichi Broadcasting System (Nov. 10).

At around 10:00 p.m., a fisherman at the port called police to report that he had found the body, which was stranded on a tetrapod.

According to the police, the body is that of a man in his 20s to 40s. Upon the discovery, he was lying face-down. It is believed that he had been dead for several days.

Standing about 160 centimeters tall, he was wearing a T-shirt and sweatpants. The tape was wrapped around his ankles as if to tie both of his legs together.

Police are working quickly to identify the man. An autopsy will be performed to determine whether he had any external injuries and the exact cause of death.

The scene of the incident is an area lined with factories and warehouses, about 1 kilometer west of Kaizuka Station on the Nankai Electric Railway.
