TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 38-year-old unemployed man on charges of soliciting lewd videos and images from a middle school girl he met online, reports TBS News (Oct. 28).
Takafumi Ozeki, a resident of Itabashi Ward, stands accused of violating laws regarding child pornography. Investigators allege that in May, Ozeki used social media to coerce the minor into sending explicit content.
Following his arrest, police seized Ozeki’s smartphone and discovered more than 20 indecent images, some of which appear to feature other minors.
Police confirmed that Ozeki has admitted to the allegations. Authorities are currently conducting a broader investigation into potential additional crimes, as they work to identify the other individuals featured in the seized images.
