TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have referred four individuals, including two male elementary school teachers, to prosecutors for allegedly possessing indecent videos of a female junior high school student, reports Nippon News Network (Oct. 9).
According to investigative sources, the two teachers — one, 37, from a private high school and another, 38, from a public elementary school in Chiba Prefecture — a 50-year-old male company executive and a 40-year-old unemployed man have been accused of violating the Child Pornography Prohibition Act and other offenses.
They are suspected of purchasing (for 5,000 yen) and possessing a video lasting approximately one hour that showed a female student (then a 13-year-old second-year junior high student) naked and striking indecent poses.
Additionally, the male company executive is suspected of purchasing underwear for 20,000 yen from a female student who was a third-year high school student (17) at the time.
Shared videos
Two of the suspects — including one of the teachers — were members of a group called the “Bishojo Kenkyujo” (Beautiful Girl Research Institute) and exchanged their impressions of shared videos.
The four men reportedly decided to make the purchases after responding with comments like “I’ve decided to buy the video” or “I’ll buy it” during a live stream hosted by a man who had already been arrested and indicted for filming indecent videos with girls.
Investigative sources state that the four men shared similar sexual interests and were “regular customers” who frequently purchased indecent videos from the streamer.
“Problematic in terms of common sense”
During voluntary questioning by police, the four men admitted to the allegations. The private high school teacher stated, “I understood that viewing or possessing unedited videos of minors was problematic in terms of common sense and ethics.”
Meanwhile, the other elementary school teacher said, “I deleted the videos after seeing news reports that the person involved [the provider] had been arrested, but I had watched them at least once or twice. They did arouse me sexually.”
Tokyo police have already conducted searches of the four men’s homes and other locations; videos appearing to feature other girls were discovered in the possession of three of them, and the investigation is ongoing.
