KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police have launched a homicide investigation and are hunting for suspects after a man believed to be a foreign national was stabbed to death in Yokohama City’s Hodogaya Ward, reports Nippon News Network (Sep. 27).
Shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, a bystander contacted emergency services, reporting that they could hear “the voices of about five people arguing.”
When officers rushed to the scene at a three-story building, they discovered an adult male collapsed and bleeding from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was transported to a local hospital in a state of cardiopulmonary arrest but was later pronounced dead.
Police are treating the fatal stabbing as a murder and are currently tracking down the whereabouts of the other individuals involved in the altercation.
