Illegal Gotanda sex parlor offering ‘full service’ raked in ¥180 million

TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested four men, including the owner and manager of a “full service” sex parlor in Shinagawa Ward, for operating a business in a prohibited zone, reports Nippon News Network (June 4).

Among those taken into custody are the club’s manager, Yoji Sagawa, and the business operator, Kozo Miyazaki. The suspects are accused of running the fuzoku (commercial sex) establishment in the Higashi-Gotanda area, a district where such businesses are strictly banned by law.

During police questioning, Sagawa and one other suspect admitted to the allegations. However, Miyazaki and the fourth suspect have denied the charges.

In a bid to evade police detection, the club operated in secret without any exterior signage. Instead, Sagawa and other staff members would loiter on the streets to solicit male passersby, hooking customers by revealing they offered coital sex. “You can go all the way,” they said while adding the price was 10,000 yen.

Investigators estimate the clandestine operation had generated approximately 180 million yen in illicit revenue.
