Influencer Reika Miyazaki admits to evading ¥150 million in taxes

TOKYO (TR) – At the opening of her trial here on Wednesday, influencer Reika Kuroki admitted to evading more than 150 million yen in corporate and other taxes, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Mar. 18).

At the Tokyo District Court, Kuroki, who works as an influencer on social networking sites under the name Reika Miyazaki, admitted to evading approximately 157 million yen in corporate taxes.

Kuroki is the president of Solarie, a Shibuya Ward-based advertising company under the directorship of Kuroki that earns income by promoting beauty products and other items on social media.

In addition, Yoshihiko Kitajima, an executive at another company run by Kuroki, and Yusuke Aiba, a company executive, have also been criminally charged for aiding in the tax evasion.

According to the indictment, Kuroki allegedly concealed approximately 496 million yen in income between 2021 and 2024 by recording fictitious business outsourcing expenses, thereby evading approximately 126 million yen in corporate taxes.

Between February 2022 and January 2024, Kuroki allegedly evaded approximately 31 million yen in consumption tax. She allegedly repeatedly evaded taxes by using false receipts, which she had Aiba create through acquaintance Kitajima, to record fictitious outsourcing expenses.
