TOKYO (TR) – Influencer Reika Miyazaki and two others connected to companies run by her have been accused of evading more than 150 million yen in corporate and other taxes, reports Nippon News Network (Dec. 25).
The Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau has filed criminal charges against Reika Kuroki, who works under the name Reika Miyazaki, and Solarie, an advertising company under the directorship of Kuroki that earns income by promoting beauty products and other items on social media.
In addition, Yoshihiko Kitajima, an executive at another company run by Kuroki, and Yusuke Aiba, a company executive, have also been criminally charged for aiding in the tax evasion.

According to sources, Kuroki, 37, is suspected of concealing approximately 496 million yen in income over the two-year period ending last year and in 2021. She an alleged to have evaded approximately 157 million yen in corporate and consumption taxes.
In order to record fictitious outsourcing expenses, Kuroki allegedly asked Aiba, through Kitajima, to create false receipts using the names of business partners and others.
The money obtained from tax evasion is believed to have been used to purchase brand-name goods, among other things.
Kuroki also serves as the representative of several other companies, including those related to beauty. On Instagram, she is influencer with over 470,000 followers.
Kuroki commented on her social media accounts, “We will promptly make the necessary amended tax returns and pay the necessary taxes.”
