CHIBA (TR) – Chiba Prefectural Police launched an investigation following the discovery of the corpses of a man and woman in an apartment in Funabashi City on Thursday, reports Nippon News Network (Feb. 5).
At just after 7:00 p.m., the father of a resident of the apartment called police. “I came to my daughter’s house, but the chain is on and I can’t check inside.”
When police and others checked the apartment, they found a woman in a closet and a man in the bathroom. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The ages and relationship of the two persons are unknown.
The father visited the apartment after being notified that his daughter was absent from work without permission.
Police believe the deceased woman is a resident of the apartment.
Police are treating the case as the result of foul play.
