AICHI (TR) – Aichi Prefectural Police believe a man fatally stabbed his 32-year-old girlfriend in his apartment in Toyokawa City on Tuesday before taking his life, reports Fuji News Network (Jan. 6).
Just after midnight, an emergency call was made to police from a woman voice crying out for help from an apartment in Oyucho.
When police arrived, they found Kurumi Baba, a 32-year-old unemployed woman from Kosai City, Shizuoka Prefecture, collapsed and bleeding.
According to police, Baba had stab wounds to her neck and abdomen. She was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Baba’s boyfriend, aged in his 30s, lived in the apartment. Police found him with a severe neck injury in the toilet. He as well was later pronounced dead.
On December 20, police received a report of a dispute between a man and a woman at the same residence. Police are investigating the possibility that the man stabbed his girlfriend and then committed suicide.
