OSAKA (TR) – Osaka Prefectural Police on Tuesday announced the bust of a fraud ring that targeted men who wished to star in the pornography business, reports Sports Hochi (Oct. 20).

Suguru Oshima, a 23-year-old resident of Fukushima Ward, Mana Gonno, a 22-year-old female employee at a commercial sex business, and five other suspects are alleged to have arranged fake shoots for adult video (AV) productions and then charged amateur actors large fines for failing to perform as asked.

According to police, the amateur actors were recruited on deai-kei matchmaking sites under a promised wage of 10,000 yen per day. After signing a contract, the actor would begin the shoot, which was typically held at a hotel.

During the filming, Gonno would use her mouth and hand to bring the victim to ejaculation. Thereafter, the group would claim that the amateur actor “was unable to perform further” and that “shooting must be halted.”

In one case, the suspects demanded an actor pay 300,000 yen for breach of contract during a shoot at a hotel in Osaka’s Kita Ward on June 20.

The group is believed to have carried out the ruse on more than 100 occasions. Of those cases, between 30 and 40 victims actually paid the fines. In addition to Osaka, the group also targeted victims in Nagoya and Yokohama.

The matter came to light after one victim in his 20s lodged a complaint with police after taking out a loan with a consumer finance company in order to pay the group.
