CHIBA (TR) – Chiba Prefectural Police have arrested two men who filmed themselves repeatedly chugging water before vomiting into a water pitcher at a gyudon beef bowl restaurant in Funabashi City earlier this year.

Kento Yoshitane and Genta Kurokawa, both 20, were arrested on suspicion of obstructing the Sukiya chain restaurant’s business by forcing it to shutter for disinfection after tweeting footage of the act between 6:20 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on January 3, reports TV Asahi (Mar. 2).

The pair, who admitted to the charges, were repeatedly playing janken (rock, paper, scissors) with their male friends where the winner had to chug a large amount of water in what they were calling a “water drinking battle for men.”

Yoshitane uploaded footage of Kurokawa vomiting, police said.

Yoshitane, Kurokawa and numerous male friends were seen vomiting into plastic bags, not just the pitcher, at the restaurant in footage and photos uploaded to Twitter, according to Tantei Files (Feb. 16).

A restaurant worker was seen gesturing toward the camera near the end of the uploaded footage.

The group also carried out similar antics at a Yoshinoya branch some two weeks before the upload date of the footage in question, according to a tweet by one of the male suspects as well as the Sankei Shimbun (Feb. 28).

Lying naked on street

One of the suspect’s Twitter accounts also showed them lying naked on a street. They also shared uncensored photos last year in which they were seen taking a shower with their genitals exposed.

Tantei Files confirmed the identity of the man in question, but tweets containing the uploaded footage were deleted. Most of the tweets on the account were also eventually deleted.

Zensho Holdings, which runs Sukiya, told Tantei Files at the time that the company was unaware of the case in question.

The company said it would investigate the case after Tantei Files provided details, including descriptions of the footage and the identity of the suspects.
