Hyogo cops bust illegal poker parlor in Takasago

HYOGO (TR) – Hyogo Prefectural Police have busted a poker game parlor operating illegally in Takasago City, reports Yomiuri Television (Nov. 29).

On Saturday night, police raided Cafe Yellow Monkey and arrested Takeshi Yatsune, the 36-year-old manager, employee Masayuki Nakano, 20, and two others for allowing customers to place wagers illegally on table poker machines.

Yatsune and two other suspects admit to the allegations while the fourth suspect has denied the charges.

In the raid, police seized 14 machines, an account book and cash.

An investigation is now underway to determine the destination of revenue from the business.
