OSAKA (TR) – A male city staffer has been arrested for taking illicit films of a woman while pretending to rummage inside his bag on a train, reports Mainichi Broadcasting System (Apr. 27).
At around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Hidehiko Nakanishi, 49, a government employee for the city of Osaka, allegedly used a smartphone to take tosatsu, or voyeur, footage inside the skirt of the 22-year-old woman inside the JR Fukuchiyama Line between Itami and Nakayamaji stations.
Nakanishi has admitted to the charges. “I have filmed a few dozen other unsuspecting people,” the suspect was quoted.
In committing the alleged crime, Nakanishi secretly filmed up the woman’s skirt while he was seated and pretending to be digging around his bag. The woman apprehended him after noticing his suspicious movements and alerted station staff.
Police are weighing additional charges.
