AICHI (TR) – The Aichi Prefectural Board of Education on Wednesday dismissed a male teacher in his 20s over inappropriate contact with a female student attending the same school, reports the Yomiuri Shimbun (July 17).
According to the board, the teacher, the middle school teacher in the Owari region slept next to the girl and kissed her at an internet cafe in Nagoya between December last year and March. He also kissed her in a park near her home.
Aichi Prefectural Police referred the case to prosecutors in June on suspicion of indecent assault without consent after receiving a report from the board.
Two other teachers
The board also took disciplinary action against two other teachers. A male temporary teacher, 34, working at Kitanagoya Municipal Kamoda Elementary School was suspended for three months for approaching a female acquaintance’s house multiple times in April. This was despite having received an order from Moriyama Police Station to stop stalking her.
The male vice principal, 48, of the Owariasahi Municipal Shiroyama Elementary School had his pay cut by 10 percent for three months after he touched the head and hands of a female teacher from another school in a car in March. He also made remarks that pressured her into a sexual relationship.
