KYOTO (TR) – Kyoto Prefectural Police have launched an investigation following the discovery on Tuesday of two corpses inside a residence in Sakyo Ward, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Sep. 9).
After receiving a tip from a male parking attendant at around 7:00 p.m., police entered the residence and found a corpse on the floor in front of a bathroom. With the head having undergone skeletonization, the body’s gender and age were indeterminate but its lower half was clothed in women’s underwear.
In the living room, another body was found stuffed inside a suitcase turned onto its side.
According to police, neither body showed any external wounds. The front door and windows were locked and the interior of the residence was not disturbed.
The parking attendant had visited the residence in seeking past-due payments. After the doorbell remained unanswered and dead flies were observed on the floor, he notified police.
Police are now working to identify the two corpses.
