TOKYO (TR) – A woman on Tuesday reported that multiple individuals “abducted” her boyfriend off a street in Setagaya Ward, reports TV Asahi (Apr. 28).
At around 3:00 p.m., the woman reported to a nearby Tokyo Metropolitan Police officer in Wakabayashi: “[My boyfriend] was abducted by multiple individuals.”
According to investigators, the woman went on to say that her boyfriend had been taken away by car.
The woman was not injured in the incident, police said.
Following the woman’s report, Tokyo police temporarily deployed an emergency response team and is currently searching for a vehicle believed to have left the scene.
The incident took place in a residential area about 300 meters from Wakabayashi Station on the Tokyu Setagaya Line.
