TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested two men and one woman for allegedly broadcasting live sexual acts from a hotel in Shinjuku Ward earlier this year, reports the Mainichi Shimbun (June 11).
According to police, Shinya Shinkawa, 31, Shosei Tomizuka, 27, and Momoko Miyajima, 22, are accused of streaming explicit sexual acts in April of this year via Stripchat, an overseas live-streaming platform. The broadcast allowed an unspecified number of users to view the indecent content.
At its peak, the April 13 live stream attracted up to 8,000 viewers and generated an estimated 1 million yen in revenue for the trio.
Upon questioning on suspicion of public indecency, all three suspects admitted to the allegations.

The video of the three was two hours long, with the first 25 minutes streamed for free while parts of their bodies were covered by their hands.
After that, viewers could pay a fee using the “tipping” function to see the sexual acts and the parts that had been covered. The trio earned 1 million yen from this single broadcast.
It is believed that Shinkawa has made about 500 similar broadcasts over the past year. The streams featured 200 women, earning him 100 million yen.
