Tokyo teacher accused of rubbing lower body on girl’s water bottle

TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 39-year-old teacher at a public elementary school in the capital for allegedly rubbing his lower body against the mouthpiece of a girl’s water bottle in the classroom, reports NHK (May 13).

According to police, Koji Wakamatsu, 39, is suspected of damaging property by rubbing his lower body against the mouthpiece of a water bottle belonging to a 9-year-old girl who was then in the third grade in October of last year.

Police allege the act rendered the bottle unusable.

During questioning on suspicion of causing property damage, Wakamatsu, who lives in Setagaya Ward, admitted to the charges. He said, “I felt guilty, but the excitement won out. I brought my personal smartphone to school specifically to film secretly. I’ve done similar things before with other students’ gym clothes and water bottles.”

The incident occurred in a classroom at the elementary school where he worked on a Sunday. No one was present at the time.

It is believed the girl had forgotten her water bottle. The teacher reportedly filmed himself rubbing his lower body against the mouthpiece using his personal smartphone.

The arrest is the second for Wakamatsu. The teacher was arrested last month and subsequently indicted for inserting a smartphone under the same student’s skirt and filming her underwear. The video was reportedly found on this smartphone.
