SAITAMA (TR) – Saitama Prefectural Police have arrested a man who is suspected of dumping the corpse of his mother outside their apartment in Saitama City, reports TV Asahi (Mar. 13).
Between 9:00 p.m. on March 11 and 7 a.m. the following day, Takeshi Hirose, 44, is suspected of abandoning the body on the landing of a stairwell of the apartment complex, located in Iwatsuki Ward.
According to the police, the body is believed to be that of Hirose’s mother, aged in her 70s. He is suspected of moving the body to the stairwell from their home.
During police questioning, Hirose admitted to allegations of abandoning a corpse.
There were no visible external injuries on the body. She is believed to have died several days before the incident.
Police are continuing the investigation, believing that Hirose may know the circumstances surrounding her death.
