SAGA (TR) – His hands were full.
Saga Prefectural Police arrested a 47-year-old man who was in possession of three knives in Karatsu City on Sunday, reports TBS News (Jan. 25).
“There’s a man walking around with two knives,” a passerby reported to police at around 8:30 a.m.
Officers arriving at the scene found the man, of no known occupation, holding two kitchen knife-like knives in each hand. As well, he had a third in his mouth.
The blades of the knives measured between 13.5 and 18 centimeters long, police said.
Upon his arrest on suspicion of violating the Swords and Firearms Control Law, the man, who lives in the area, denied the allegations.
“I was on my way to pick up vegetables from a friend’s house,” he said.
