TOKYO (TR) – Freelance television announcer Rina Yamamoto is trading the broadcast booth for the beach, shedding her conservative on-air image to bare some skin in her first-ever photo book, “Rina, desu” (I am Rina).
Set to hit store shelves on October 28, the highly anticipated release marks the popular television and radio personality’s debut into the world of swimsuit gravure.
Shot on location against the tropical backdrop of Miyakojima, the newly unveiled cover shot promises an unprecedentedly alluring side to the announcer. Representatives for the project say the book is packed with Yamamoto’s personal touches and showcases a decidedly “mature atmosphere” that fans have never seen before.

“I really love the slightly mature expression and posing,” Yamamoto teased in a statement following the cover’s release. “I am truly grateful to the photographer, Higashi-san, and the atmosphere on set that allowed me to show this kind of expression. I’d be thrilled if it makes everyone’s heart skip a beat!”
To commemorate her sizzling new venture, Yamamoto is scheduled to host a release event at Roppongi Tsutaya Books in Tokyo on Halloween day, October 31.
Hardcore fans attending the event will be treated to a direct “handover” session with the announcer, alongside premium perks including two-shot photo opportunities, autographs on personal items, and exclusive behind-the-scenes film shots.
“Look forward to what’s inside,” Yamamoto added. “I can’t wait to see you all at the handover event.”
The photobook marks a bold new chapter for Yamamoto as she continues to aggressively expand her brand as a freelance talent.
