SAITAMA (TR) – An 8-year-old boy died after he was found with his head stuck in the trunk of a car in Kawaguchi City, police said on Thursday.
Police said the second-grade boy was found with his head stuck in the car’s storage compartment under its trunk and was unable to move at around 7 p.m. at his house’s parking space on Wednesday, reports Nippon News Network (Mar. 9).
The boy’s death was confirmed about four hours after he was rushed to a hospital.
He likely leaned over the backseat trying to retrieve a basketball from the car’s trunk storage space when he fell head-first and became stuck, police said.
