AICHI (TR) – A case involving a male police inspector accused of exposing himself to a passerby after he urinated on a street while drunk will be referred to prosecutors, police said on Tuesday.

The suspect in his 30s, an inspector of Aichi Prefectural Police, is charged with indecent exposure for exposing the lower half of his body on a road late at night in October on a street in Naka Ward, Nagoya, the Asahi Shimbun reports (Nov. 22).

The male inspector was quoted by police as saying he “forgot to put it away.”

The suspect was allegedly intoxicated when he walked along the street with his lower half exposed after urinating on the street, when the passerby encountered him and alerted a nearby officer.

The suspect was relocated to Aichi Prefecture Police from another police headquarters in April, police said.
