TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 28-year-old man who allegedly posing as a delivery person to commit indecent acts on a female resident in Hachioji City earlier this year, reports Nippon News Network (Dec. 13).
At around 10:00 a.m. on June 3, Sho Shimizu allegedly broke into an apartment in a building in Hachioji and committed indecent acts on a woman in her 20s.
The woman was pushed by Shimizu and suffered serious injuries, including a broken hip, which at the time were to take approximately six months to heal.

Upon his arrest on suspicion of trespassing and non-consensual indecent assault resulting in injury, Shimizu denied the charges. “I do no recall [the matter],” he said. “I don’t even remember being there at that time.”
Shimizu was not acquainted with the woman before the incident. The suspect was wearing a uniform and is believed to have told the woman the name of a major shipping company over the camera-equipped intercom before gaining entry.
Police identified Shimizu from security camera footage and issued a nationwide wanted warrant.
