TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 41-year-old woman from Kanagawa Prefecture who is suspected of trafficking drugs through social media, reports TBS News (Mar. 9).

In January, Megumi Kumazawa, of no known occupation, is suspected of possessing approximately 0.6 milliliters of a liquid containing kakuseizai (methamphetamine), approximately 3.86 grams of marijuana and approximately 0.029 grams of cocaine at her home in Atsugi City.

According to police, a search of Kumazawa’s home as a part of a separate investigation uncovered the methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine, measuring scales and syringes.

The results of an analysis of her urine gave a positive result for methamphetamine, police said.

Based on the history of the smartphone seized from Kumazawa, police believe that she was using the app Signal to traffic in illegal drugs.
