KANAGAWA (TR) — Police here have arrested a 41-year-old medical doctor for allegedly trespassing into the crawlspace above a hospital on-call room while a female colleague was resting inside, reports the Yomiuri Shimbun (Apr. 23).

The Fujisawa Police Station arrested the suspect, Keishi Yamane, employed at Shonan Fujisawa Tokushukai Hospital, on Thursday on suspicion of unlawful entry into a building.

According to police, Yamane crept into the ceiling space above the hospital’s duty room without a valid reason at around 11:30 p.m. on April 7.

The bizarre incident came to light when the female doctor, who was occupying the room at the time, noticed a suspicious presence above her.
