TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a male employee at a child guidance center in Chiba Prefecture for allegedly committing an indecent act against a teenage high school girl on a JR Sobu Line train, reports TBS News (Oct. 9).
On September 16, Kodai Mitsuhashi, 35, an employee of the Funabashi City Child Guidance Center, is suspected of touching the chest and lower body of a teenage high school girl on a JR Sobu Line train on the 16th of last month.
During questioning on suspicion of non-consensual indecency, Mitsuhashi admitted to the allegations. He said, “I have done this dozens of times since last October.”
Prior to the incident, Mitsuhashi waited at the ticket gate of the station nearest the girl’s home and carried out the act by targeting a time when the train was crowded.
The incident came to light after a station attendant reported the matter following a consultation with the high school girl.
Tokyo police are continuing to investigate the case, suspecting there may be other similar offenses.
