SHIZUOKA (TR) – Authorities here launched an investigation after the body of a woman was found floating off the coast of the town of Higashiizu on Saturday, reports Shizuoka Asahi TV (June 28).
At 10:05 a.m., a man fishing on a pleasure boat alerted the Japan Coast Guard Command Center. “Something resembling a body was floating face-up,” the caller said.
The body is that of a woman aged approximately in her 20s or 30s. With a full frame, she stood 151 centimeters tall.
She was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans. She is believed to have been dead for a short time.
There were no visible external injuries on the body.
The Shimoda Coast Guard is working quickly to identify the woman.
