CHIBA (TR) – A 51-year-old man has been arrested for attempting to take clandestine photos up the skirt of a school girl in Yotsukaido City earlier this year.
During questioning on suspicion of violating the Law Banning the Taking of Sexually Explicit Photographs, the unnamed suspect denied the allegations, telling police he was targeting her legs, reports Chiba Nippo (Apr. 30).
At around 12:40 p.m. on March 5, the suspect allegedly used a smartphone to attempt to take tosatsu (voyeur) footage under the skirt of the female high school student in a passageway of a commercial facility.
“I wasn’t filming under her skirt; I was filming her calves,” the unnamed suspect told the Yotsukaido Police Station.
As the incident unfolded, a security guard at the facility spotted the suspect pointing his smartphone at the high school student and notified the police.
