TOCHIGI (TR) – A truck driver got into an altercation after his vehicle plowed into a bike shop in Utsunomiya City on Wednesday, reports Nippon News Network (Apr. 26).
At around 4:30 p.m., the male driver, an employee of Fukuyama Transporting aged in his 40s, crashed into the shop. He then got into an altercation with shop staff members, which included him punching one person in the face.
Police arriving at the scene arrested the driver, who was not injured in the incident, on suspicion of inflicting bodily injury.
After the crash, the driver asked the shop staff members to sign something, according to the employee. “Our staff thought that was a little odd, and then he suddenly went on a rampage,” the employee said.
