TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police are seeking the help of the public in locating a male suspect behind a bag-snatching incident in Shibuya Ward, reports Nippon News Network (Mar. 2).

In December, an unknown person approached a man, 81, from behind on a road in the Dogenzaka area and stole a zippered carrying case. He then fled the scene.

The bag did not contain any cash. The elderly man was not hurt in the incident.

In a video clip released publicly, the suspect is shown walking around the same general area prior to the crime. Believed to be aged in his 20s or 30s, he is shown wearing black clothing. His height is estimated at 170 centimeters. Police are seeking his whereabouts on suspicion of theft.
