TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police are seeking the whereabouts of a man who robbed a convenience store in Bunkyo Ward by threatening a cashier with a knife, reports TBS News (Oct. 31).

At around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, a man pretending to purchase a can of low-malt beer approached the register of the store, located near JR Ochanomizu Station in the Yushima area, and produced a knife. “You know what this means,” he reportedly threatened the cashier.

Before fleeing the scene, the suspect took 150,000 yen in cash from the register.

The cashier was not hurt in the incident.

Described as standing around 165 centimeters in height and wearing black work clothes, the man is wanted on suspicion of robbery.
