SAITAMA (TR) – Saitama Prefectural Police have arrested a 24-year-old fireman who is suspected in a series of streaking incidents in Saitama City, reports Sankei Sports (Sept. 13).
At around 8:00 p.m. on Monday, Sei Takano, stationed at the Kasube Fire Deparment, is alleged to have appeared nude on a road near Iwatsuki Station.
Takano, who has been charged with public exposure, admits to the allegations. “I could not suppress my sexual desire,” the suspect is quoted by police.
Police were tipped off about Takano after a 15-year-old school girl informed officers at a police box about a “fully nude man.” Officers arriving at the scene could not locate the suspect. However, a bicycle left behind at the scene led them to Takano.
According to TBS News (Sept 13), police are investigating whether Takano has been involved in a number of other similar incidents that have taken place in the same general area.
