KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police have launched an investigation following a stabbing incident that left one person dead and two others injured at a residence in Sagamihara City, reports the Asahi Shimbun (Oct. 3).
At around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, police were tipped off by a telephone call from a woman in which she said, “I’ve been stabbed by my husband.” Officers arriving at the residence, located in the Miyashimohoncho area of Chuo Ward, found a man, believed to be in his 40s, collapsed and bleeding at the entrance. He was later confirmed dead.
On the second floor, police discovered a man and his wife, both 34, collapsed with stab wounds in a bedroom. Several blood-stained knives were also found at the scene.
According to police, the woman’s husband has hinted at being behind the stabbing, according to TBS News (Oct. 3).
Police are now investigating whether any problems between the three persons led to the incident.
