Bobby Ologun denies sexual assault allegations

CHIBA (TR) – Police here have arrested 60-year-old television personality Bobby Ologun on suspicion of sexually assaulting a female acquaintance at a residence in Chiba Prefecture earlier this year, reports Nippon News Network (June 14).

Ologun, whose legal Japanese name is Bobby Konda, is accused of sexually assaulting the adult woman at a residence in Chiba between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on April 21.

The TV star has strongly denies allegations of non-consensual sexual intercourse. “The facts are completely different,” he told investigators.

According to investigators, Ologun allegedly called the woman out to a separate location to meet before the pair traveled to the Chiba residence, where the assault is said to have taken place.

Following the alleged incident, Ologun departed Japan. He was taken into custody by police in the early hours on Sunday immediately upon arriving at Tokyo’s Haneda International Airport on a return flight.

Police are continuing to investigate the detailed circumstances surrounding the incident.
