TOKYO (TR) – The Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau on Thursday indicted the head of three companies that operate sex businesses in the Kanto area for evading taxes over a three-year period, reports the Asahi Shimbun (June 4).
According to the indictment filed at the Tokyo District Court, Takashi Ueda, 42-year-old president of the companies, and tax adviser Tsuyoshi Tokudome, 53, are alleged to have concealed 500 million yen in income by claiming fictitious external costs between 2010 and 2013.
The Tokyo-based companies, including recruiter Well System, specialize in “pink salon” businesses, which provide blow-job services, according to the Sankei Shimbun (June 4). Of the 10 outlets under management, the majority are located in Tachikawa and Kawasaki cities.
The indictment said that the firms are liable for a tax bill of 140 million yen. According to Tokudome, a revised tax filing has already been submitted to the tax bureau.
