TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police last week busted a hostess club featuring Filipino women in Fuchu City for operating without a license, reports Fuji News Network (Nov. 3).
On Friday, officers took Tsukasa Hamano, 48, into custody for operating club Miss Universe since May without a license in compliance with the Law Regulating Adult Entertainment Businesses.
The club, which employed eight hostesses with ages between 28 and 51, began as an Italian restaurant. “In an effort to earn a profit I started [this club],” the suspect is quoted by police, according to TV Asahi (Nov. 3).
In June, officers entered Miss Universe and warned Hamano about violations but he continued with the same operations.
