The prosecutors office also cited Suzuki’s three companies, which operate nine hostess clubs featuring jukujo, or mature, female staff members, for evading 30 million yen in taxes on income of 121 million yen during the two years leading up to February 2011.
Suzuki, 45, is also accused of personally evading 64 million yen in taxes on income of 172 million yen between 2008 and 2010.
According to Jiji Press (Nov. 9), many of Suzuki’s hostess clubs are in the Omori area of Shinagawa Ward.
Promotional Web sites indicate that Juicy charges a 5,000-yen basic entry fee for the first 80 minutes and features housewives and office ladies on staff.
Suzuki was first cited in November on tax evasion charges by the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau.
