TOKYO (TR) – A Shibuya Ward assemblyman on Wednesday filed a suit against the ward in the Tokyo District Court for the purchase of an inn located in Shizuoka Prefecture that was featured in a number of adult video (AV) films, reports the Mainichi Shimbun (Sept. 24).
Due to the depreciated value of the land and buildings of the 3,300-square-meter Kikusuikan hot springs resort following the filming, assemblyman Toshihito Horikiri is demanding 180 million yen in compensation from the ward, which bought the property for 110 million yen in April with the intention that it be used by senior citizens.
“Following the filming for the AV films, the facility is unsuitable as a rest home,” the complaint said, according to the Sankei Shimbun (Sept. 24).
A real estate appraisal of the property indicated that it was worth only 40 million yen.
“The purchase price is not justifiable,” said Horikiri.
The five-floor structure, located in the seaside area of Kawazu, Shizuoka Prefecture, provided a backdrop in the shooting of group sex scenes for at least 11 AV productions by label Moodyz between 2006 and 2013.
The films were a part of the label’s “Bako Bako Bus Tour” series. In a screenshot printed in weekly tabloid Friday in May, naked performers can be seen frolicking in the inn’s pool.
Constructed in 1927, Kikusuikan ceased operations in March after enduring financial difficulties.
A budget of 228 million yen was set aside this year for the purchase of the inn and renovation of its buildings, with a target of October for its opening.
