TOKYO (TR) – Despite making a living by baring it all on camera, adult video (AV) actress Nanoka Hatsumi has confessed a surprising secret: she used to be too embarrassed to even visit a public bath, she tells Smart Flash (Oct. 11).
“Before my debut, I was so ashamed of being naked in front of my friends that I never even went to a hot spring,” the actress recently revealed. “I was even too embarrassed to wear a swimsuit to the pool.”
Despite her extreme shyness, Hatsumi has found success in the AV industry. However, during a recent video shoot on a tropical island, she admitted that her modest nature remains intact.
“Taking off my costume piece by piece is still incredibly embarrassing. I’m still not used to it,” she confessed.
“Taking on new challenges”
Hatsumi officially marked her one-year debut anniversary this September. Reflecting on her rapid rise, she expressed deep appreciation for her supporters. “I am full of gratitude for the fans who cheer me on. There are still so many things I haven’t experienced yet, so I want to keep taking on new challenges.”
Looking ahead to her second year in the AV industry, the actress has set her sights on a major goal. “I would be happy if I could create a ‘masterpiece’ — a work that feels genuinely special to both my fans and myself.”
Crane games
When she isn’t in front of the camera, the actress says she is currently hooked on winning Chiikawa character merchandise from arcade crane games.
Yet, her venture into the adult industry has yielded at least one major change in her personal life.
“I can finally go into a hot spring with my friends, and I’ve really come to love onsen trips,” she said.
Industry observers and fans alike are now waiting to see if overcoming her crippling shyness will lead to even bolder performances in her sophomore year.
