KANAGAWA (TR) – Law enforcement is seeking the whereabouts of a member of a criminal syndicate after a car-ramming incident at a house in Yokohama City on Tuesday, reports NHK (Apr. 23).
At around 6:30 a.m., Satoshi Tamura, a 50-year-old boss in the Inagawa-kai, allegedly crashed his vehicle into a group of investigators from the Saitama Prefectural Police as they entered his house in Matsumotocho, Kanagawa Ward.
Tamura then used the white vehicle to flee the scene heading north. His whereabouts remain unknown.
On Wednesday, police obtained a warrant for his arrest on suspicion of attempted murder and obstruction of justice. A video released by the police shows the gang member leaving his home and walking towards the parking lot with a cigarette in his mouth.

Tamura is believed to have been involved in a murder case involving a handgun that took place in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture two years ago.
Prior to the incident, Tamura was asked by Saitama Prefectural Police to be present during a search of his home. Upon arrival, he suddenly accelerated in his car, knocking over four police officers. Three of the four officers were injured, but only slightly.
Tamura stands about 175 centimeters tall. He has short hair.
