Pakistani national in custody over alleged sexual assault accused in second case

TOKYO (TR) – A Pakistani national already in custody for a knifepoint attack on a woman has been re-arrested after allegedly luring a teenage girl off the street, drugging her, and sexually assaulting her at a Shinjuku Ward hotel, reports Nippon News Network (Oct. 28).

The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Danish Muhammad, had already been in custody following a separate arrest on suspicion of holding a woman at knifepoint and sexually assaulting her.

Authorities allege the latest offense occurred on October 4 at a hotel in the Kabukicho entertainment district.

According to police, Danish allegedly approached the teenage girl and showed her a message on his smartphone asking her to give him directions. He then threatened her and forced her into the hotel, where he allegedly held a bladed weapon to her and told her, “I can get 400,000 for killing you,” before administering drugs and carrying out the assault.

When questioned by investigators, Danish admitted to the allegations, reportedly stating, “That is more or less correct,” according to police.

The re-arrest underscores the severity of the alleged conduct and police said the investigation is continuing.
